Postcard: Greetings from Riverside, Calif.

Featured here is a 1961 postcard for Riverside.

Pictured is the Carillon Tower at the Mission Inn, the Peace Tower on Mount Rubidoux overlooking downtown and the Buena Vista Bridge crossing Seventh Street (now Mission Inn Avenue).

The back of the card, which was produced by Western Publishing & Novelty Company of Los Angeles, reads:

Riverside, California — Showing the famous Mission Inn — a view of the city from the summit of Mt. Rubidoux and Beuna Vista Drive, the western approach to the city.

Though the Mission Inn and Beuna Vista Bridge have changed little, the view of downtown from Mount Rubidoux now features several modern office buildings.
